Recent Works
Painting that tells of the way it is created, a struggle and a whirlpool of contemplations that reveal the mechanism of decision making and dilemmas, a movement between flatness and characterization of space, between figuration and abstraction when the images sometimes appear as a 'possibility', as "the way to read the painting".
The painting reflects a personal view of our time and operates as a painting-like strategy in a state of conflict and division.
The presence of the clown was integrated into my recent works out of a personal identification with its position in the world. As an act of survival it chooses ridicule. Entrusted with "cover-up" it examines the world, legitimately reveals its lies, and masks its loneliness and vulnerability. I choose to celebrate the chaos, to juggle with color, shapes and images, for “...it’s all settled beneath the chitter chatter and the noise, silence and sentiment, emotion and fear. The haggard, inconstant flashes of beauty...after all… it’s just a trick. Yes, it’s just a trick...”*.
